Publishing at the Aalto University Schools of Technology is distributed among the various units. Dissertations are an exception for their electronic publication is centrally operated by the Main Library (Aalto University Otaniemi Campus Library). In addition to dissertations and reports there are text books, annual reports, magazines and varied theses in printed or electronic format.
Publications can be purchased from the units that have published them.

The Electronic dissertation service includes full texts of dissertations approved by the Schools of Technology since 2000. In the recent years 99 % of all dissertations have been electronically published.
Inssi database includes references to the bachelor's, master's and licentiate's theses done at the Schools of Technology since the beginning of the 1980's. In addition there are recorded references of older master's and licentiate's theses from 1900 onwards. Available only in the Aalto University network and to licensed customers.
Inssi-database has links to the full texts of bachelor's theses. The user needs a password to be able to read the works in pdf-format. This electronic archiving began at the beginning of the year 2008.
The Schools of Technology institutional repository TKKDOC includes the Schools' electronic publications in full text form. Most of them are doctoral dissertations but there are also master's theses and reports.
The repository is an open access service which means that all included full text publications can be read by anybody and printed without limits. Long term preservation has also been taken into consideration.
TKKjulkaisee database is the publication register of the Schools of Technology, in which there is data of all publishing activities of the Schools' personnel, including works published outside of the Schools. Data has been gathered since 1992, and it is entered in the database at the departments of the Schools. TKKjulkaisee is one of the research registers which gather information of the activities of the Schools of Technology and it belongs to the TENTTU-databases.
