
The information specialist on duty will help with more demanding information retrieval tasks. The information specialists with basic training in technology or natural sciences are on duty from Mondays to Fridays. They can assist in information searching and the use of the library's databases and materials. The best results in information searching is reached by speaking directly with the information specialist either on site or on the phone.
An information specialist is available from 9 am. to 4 pm. during weekdays and can be contacted with email, www form, phone or by visiting the library. The information specialist will arrive to the information service point at the second floor if you phone the service number 09-4702 4124 or ask a librarian at the circulation service desk.
Information searches taking less then half an hour are free of charge, see price list. Usually answers are found while the patron waits or during the same work day.
One can order literature searches of the materials within the library. The searches are done in the TENTTU databases.
Also more extensive literature searches can be made; mapping the literature of a certain field for product development purposes for example. The searches are done in databases and result in a list of relevant literature. Both Finnish and international databases are used. There are hundreds of databases available in engineering and related sciences.
