Overdue fees

  • A two-week loan (course book) = €0.70 per day.
  • A four-week loan (other material) = €0.30 per day.
  • Overnight or weekend loan (reading-room copy) = €1 per hour.

The maximum fee per volume is €9,80 or €9,90, regardless of how late it is returned.

If the overdue fees exceed €10, you will temporarily lose your right to borrow, meaning that you cannot renew loans or borrow new material; the borrowing rights will be restored once you have paid the outstanding fees.

Paying Fees

Library fees can be paid in the following ways:

  • At the circulation service desk with cash or a debit or credit card (including Visa Electron)
  • Via web banking for customers of Nordea, OP and Sampo: link to web payment system.

Lost and Damaged Material

Items that are 50 days overdue are considered missing, and their cost will be charged from the user by the Lindorff collection agency.

If the item is permanently lost or seriously damaged, you have the responsibility to either pay for a replacement copy and handling fee to the collection agency or to replace it with either a brand new copy or a used copy in good condition. If the material assumed lost is returned, you will not be charged for the replacement. However, the collection and overdue fees must always be paid.

The minimum fee for a lost item is €100, but the actual fee depends on the type and value of the material in question.
