Different readers can be used for he RSS feeds. They can also be read with many email programs and browsers such as Firefox. For example IE 6 and older versions don't support RSS feeds, in which case an other program is needed. With the search terms "RSS feed" you can find more options for feeds' reading from the Internet.
Once you have subscribed to a feed the reader informs of any new content such as a new piece of news in the newsfeed.
You can subscribe to RSS feeds of the latest printed, borrowable publications in the collections of the Aalto University Otaniemi Campus Library and the libraries the faculties and departments of the School of Science and Technology. The lists are produced by subject matter. On the lists there are the titles which have been added in Alli within the four previous weeks, and which have been published in the last three years. Lists are generated once a day, from Monday to Friday. Names of the publications are listed in order of the day of acquisition, so that the last acquired one is first on the list.
You can click directly from the RSS feed to Alli to check the location and availability of the material.
