Remote access to electronic materials

Information of the service regarding these instructions: Remote access to electronic materials

1. Using  http://password.aalto.fi/ service adopt a new Aalto username and set a password for it.
2. Enter Nelli-portal at www.nelliportaali.fi. Select "Aalto University" from the list of portals when accessing from outside the network.
3. In Nelli-portal, select the desired database or e-journal and click on it's title. You will be forwarded to the Aalto log-in page (see picture). Enter your Aalto username and password. Click on the "Login" button.
   
4. Confirm the transfer of your personal information to the Libproxy remote access system by clicking on the "Continue" button. Your user name is the only piece of personal information to be transferred.
5. You will be further forwarded to the desired resource (database, e-journal etc.).
6. On a publicly accessible computer, after finishing the remote access session, please remember to log out by closing the web browser.

Notes

The remote access system can be used with the most common browsers.
