Master's theses, licentiate's theses and bachelor's theses

Most printed versions of the master's and licentiate theses written at the Aalto University Schools of Technology are situated in the libraries of the faculties and departments. They can be searched in the Inssi database. If the location of a thesis is P1 Ark in the database it can be found in the archive of the Main Library (Otaniemi Campus Library). They cannot be borrowed but they can be ordered to be read in the library.

TKKDOC repository has some master's and licentiate theses in pdf-format written mainly in the Faculty of Electronics, Communications and Automation (the Department of Electronics and Communications) and in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management since the year 2006.

At the beginning of the year 2008 bachelor's theses made at the Schools of Technology have been archived in electronic format. The records of the theses and links to the theses in pdf-format are found in the Inssi-database. The user needs a password to be able to read the works.

Dissertations

Dissertations All dissertations written at the Schools of Technology can be found in the second floor of the library in the shelves next to the copying room. The books in this collection cannot be borrowed but there are also a borrowable copies of the dissertations in the series collection or the B books.

The electronic dissertations of the Schools of Technology can be searched as full text mainly since year 2000 in their own WWW service and in the TKKDOC repository. The references to both printed and electronic dissertations are in the Alli collection database.

German, Nordic and Finnish dissertations in the fields of technology and natural sciences are situated in the closed stacks Dis collection and in the series collection.

Theses databases containing either abstracts of full texts of theses can be found in the Nelli portal.
