Reference material
Reference books are publications which consist of organised information for information retrieval. Reference books can not be borrowed.
Standards, encyclopaedias, books of tables and directories are situated in the reference books collection in the second floor of the library. They are organised in the shelf according to their topic. In the Alli collection database the location of the reference collection is shown on the map of the location service (the wayfinding application) which is linked to the records of the reference books. The more detailed locations of the reference books are in the text form.
Dictionaries can be found in the library's collections in the second floor in B books and reference books. The shelf code for dictionaries in B books is 801/809 and in reference books it is 801/802.
A list of the electronic reference books, dictionaries and patents or standards, which the library has subscribed to, can be found in the Nelli portal in the left side bar. They can be used in the Aalto University network.
