Books
In the library there are about 87,000 printed borrowable books with a focus on engineering and natural sciences such as physics and chemistry.
Loan period for books is four weeks.
New books can be found in the B collection which is situated in the second floor of the library. Books are in the shelves according to the library's own shelf classification system (rough UDC classification). The books are in alphabetical order according to the author's name. However, if the book has more than three authors or if the author has only edited the book, the book is found by the title of the book. The location of the B collection's books can be checked with the help of the location service (the wayfinding application) operating in connection with the Alli collection database.
Old and little borrowed books have been situated in the Kel collection in the closed stacks.
Electronic books which can be read in the Aalto Universtiy network can be found in the Nelli portal and they can also be searched in the Alli collection database.
